Salem, OR – Salem Fire Department crews assisted the Gervais Police Department on April 23 with a hazardous materials response outside city limits.
Hazmat 13 and Engine 8 responded after officers raised concerns about possible ammonia levels inside a residence.
Fire personnel conducted air monitoring to determine whether the environment was safe for entry.
Officials said no injuries were reported during the incident.
Crews completed their assessment on scene to help ensure the area was safe before further action was taken.
