Salem, OR – The Salem Police Department spent part of the day helping students at West Salem High School prepare for future job opportunities by conducting mock interviews.
According to the department, the event provided students with an opportunity to gain valuable interview experience while interacting with members of law enforcement. Officers met with students and guided them through interview scenarios designed to help build confidence and strengthen professional communication skills.
The Salem Police Department said the event also served as an opportunity to connect with young people in the community and support their educational and career development.
Officials thanked the students for their enthusiasm and participation, noting that their dedication and willingness to learn were inspiring. The department added that events like these help foster positive relationships between students and law enforcement while contributing to a stronger community.
The mock interview program is one of several ways the Salem Police Department engages with local students and supports workforce readiness efforts in the community.
