Salem, OR – Salem Police Department officers arrested Jeffrey Boyer, 64, of Salem, on June 7, 2026, following a domestic disturbance investigation on Oxford Street SE.
According to the Salem Police Department, Boyer was wanted in connection with a prior incident involving strangulation that had been reported just hours earlier.
Officers responded to the residence at approximately 6:24 a.m., where they made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
During the investigation, officers noted safety concerns related to multiple firearms at the location. Authorities later located several un-serialized rifles, short-barreled rifles, and an un-serialized suppressor.
Boyer was lodged at the Marion County Correctional Facility on charges including domestic strangulation and multiple firearms-related offenses, including unlawful manufacture of a firearm.
The investigation remains ongoing, and further inquiries have been directed to the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.
