BOZEMAN, Mont. – While checking the ‘Free’ section on Bozeman’s Craigslist, I noticed something really cool.

The Bozeman Bike Kitchen, a local non-profit is fixing up kids bikes and giving them away for free. Many families don’t have much money for Christmas gifts this year, and it’s truly inspiring to see people in the Bozeman community giving to others during the holiday season.

This isn’t the first year that the Bozeman Bike Kitchen has given away free kids bikes to help less fortunate families in our community. This year marks the 7th Annual Christmas Kids Bike Giveaway.

If you would like to get a free bike for your child, there are only two more days to do so.

Today, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 19 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. you can stop by the Bozeman Bike Kitchen at 2104 Industrial Drive and get a free kids bike.

The bikes are located in back parking lot. Just walk through the gate near the shop entrance and serve yourself. The Bozeman Bike Kitchen asks that you only take one bike per kid.The free bikes come in assorted sizes up to 24″ inch wheels, and more will be added as they are fixed and safe for use.

The Bozeman Bike Kitchen has a number of programs to provide bicycles to all types of people.  They offer free bicycles, bicycles in exchange for volunteering, and bicycles for purchase. The Bike Kitchen is always looking for volunteers, and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others.
